International Migrants' Day 2009

International Migrants' Day was first declared by the UN General Assembly in 2000. This was proclaimed to take into account the large and increasing number of migrants in the world.

Here in Singapore, TWC2 has been celebrating this day on 18th December each year with activities such as futsal, forums, seminars and sports events.

For 2009, we're doing something new. For the first time, we aim to hold an outdoor picnic. Picnics are the best sort of events to meet new people and enjoy various food prepared from all over the world. We're also thinking that at the end of a tough year for lots of people, doing something fun and relaxing might be a good idea.
