Who We Are
Since its inception, TWC2 has engaged government officials, migrant workers, employment agencies, partner organizations, and the general public. It has grown into a reliable contact point for migrant workers who encounter problems with their employers, a source of information for employers and the public, and a centre for generating action-oriented research. Milestones include:
Publication of the employers' handbook, “Mutual Respect: Building a Good Working Relationship with Your Domestic Worker” (December 2004);
Winning the New Non-profit Initiative Award presented by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (November 2005);
International Migrants’ Day Sports Carnival, with some 3000 participants (December 2005);
Launch of the TWC2 helpline service (December 2006);
Launch of the Cuff Road Project (with ONE-Singapore) in March 2008.
